Madrid Ventures
The team lane

You can start a company alone. Together, fewer people quit.

Say which profiles you are missing and your project appears on the network’s team board: whoever fits writes to you telling you what they can do, and you decide who gets in. It works the same in reverse — if you do not have a project yet, you can ask to join one that is already moving.

How to avoid the classic mistake when looking for a co-founder

🎯

Ask for roles, not friends

You state which profile you need and why. Whoever applies says what they can do and how much time they can commit, so the conversation starts where it should: on the work, not on the chemistry.

🔓

You always decide

You get requests, not assignments. You accept whoever fits, decline the rest, and can remove someone from the team later if it did not work out.

📊

With the figures in plain sight

An accepted co-founder sees the company’s cash, expenses and revenue. Sharing the real numbers from the start avoids half the conflicts that break teams apart.

🔒

But not your private life

Your savings, your personal expenses and your salary are seen by no co-founder. Ever. You share the company, not your bank account.

💡

Or start together from zero

If you come from an Ideas MV idea, the team forms before the project even exists: you reserve the idea, you get together, and you claim it once there are three of you.

🤝

No fee for the introduction

Madrid Ventures takes no commission on the co-founders you find, the customers you win or the money you raise. Memberships are our only revenue.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1
    You open recruiting
In your project’s Team tab you turn recruiting on and write the roles you need. Your project joins the board the rest of the members see.
  2. 2
    Requests come in
Each interested person tells you which role they see themselves in, what they have done before and how much time they can commit. With their LinkedIn if they have added it.
  3. 3
    You accept whoever fits
On acceptance, that person joins the project’s team and starts seeing the company figures read-only. Accepting requires them to be on Fundador Pro.
  4. 4
You work off the same numbers
The team shares the project, its MV Score and the company’s months of runway. Each person keeps their own route and their own personal figures.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a co-founder for my startup?

Inside the platform you open recruiting on your project and say which roles you need — engineering, design, sales, whatever it is. Your project then appears on the team board the rest of the network sees. Anyone interested sends a request saying which role they see themselves in and why they fit, and you accept or decline. You can close recruiting whenever you like.

What if I have no project but want to join one?

It works in that direction too. On the board you see the projects that are looking for co-founders, with their sector and the roles they need, and you can ask to join the one that fits you. It is a real way to start a company without bringing the idea: you join something already moving, with someone who has already begun.

What does a co-founder see of my project once they join?

The project, its team and the company figures — cash, expenses, revenue and months of runway — read-only. What they never see are your personal figures: your savings, your living expenses and your salary are yours and nobody else’s. And if you change your mind, you can remove someone from the team whenever you want.

What does it cost to join a team?

Applying is free, but being accepted into a team requires the Fundador Pro plan (€29/month, no lock-in). It is the same rule as in Ideas MV: in this network every founding partner has their own membership. Otherwise, joining a project would be the back door around the plan.

Am I obliged to look for co-founders?

No. Building a team is an optional stage of the route and you can mark “going solo for now” without it holding you back or costing you points. Plenty of projects start alone and look for partners once there is something to show. The one exception is a reserved Ideas MV idea: claiming it requires a minimum of three people.

Do you help with the shareholders’ agreement?

Not yet. The platform covers finding each other, deciding who joins, and working together with the company figures in plain sight; splitting equity and signing a shareholders’ agreement happen outside, and are worth doing with a lawyer. It is on the roadmap, and we would rather say so than imply it is solved.

Say what you are missing and let them find you.
